Kansas is known by its inhabitants to be rich with outdoor possibilities.  Whether the recreational user happens to be a hiker, fisherman, hunter, boater, or just an admirer of beautiful vistas, Kansas has much to offer.

For the person outside the state of Kansas, and considering a trip to the Sunflower state, let me share with you some information.  Kansas is not flat.  Kansas is blessed with a rich variety of landscapes, from the Flint Hills, to the Western extent of the Ozarks, to the dramatic western Kansas horizons as they preview a gradual climb to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.  There are enormous lakes, whitewater rivers, slow lazy rivers, and thousands of lazy farm ponds full of bass, catfish, crappie, panfish, and more.

Kansas has numerous state aprks, wildlife refuges, and is rapidly becoming known as a premier deer hunting destination, offering mule deer hunting and whitetail deer hunting options.  Additionally, Kansas seemingly has always been known for its upland game hunting options including pheasant, quail, rabbits, and more.

At Kansas-Outdoors, we will bring you all the outdoor information that pertains to enjoying this great outdoor state.  We hope you will bookmark this site or sign up for feeds of our posts as they become available.  If you have questions or comments, please feel free to leave them.
